Cathryn Martinez
Cathryn Martinez is currently the Development and Community Engagement Manager for
Career and Recovery Resources, Inc. A local nonprofit that helps people identify and overcome
their barriers to achieve a stable life. Cathryn is a graduate of Texas A&M University – Corpus
Christi, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration. Now that she’s
returned to Houston, Cathryn is active in her community and is on the Board of Directors for
Justice Forward, the University of Houston Friends of Women’s Studies, Avenue CDC, and on
the advisory board for Barrio Dogs, Inc. She also volunteers for several nonprofits such as the
League of Women Voters as a 2022 Rising Star, the Sunshine Kids Foundation, Operation Love,
Project Orange, the Beacon, and more.
