Julia Morales Clark
Julia Morales is in her tenth season as a member of the Houston Astros broadcast
team on AT&T SportsNet Southwest. She is a two-time Emmy Award winner and
you can also catch her hosting Astros and Rockets pre and postgame shows.
While in Houston, Julia has made an impact on Astros fans, women in sports and
future sportscasters. She recently received a Woman of Inspiration award by the
Houston chapter of WISE, Women in Sports and Events.
When it comes to giving back to the community, Julia is extremely passionate
about animals and serves on the Board of Directors for Houston Pets Alive!, a nokill
animal rescue. She and her husband, Matt, foster dogs in the MLB offseason.
She also spends time speaking to journalism students at the high school and
collegiate level in the Houston area, as well as doing motivational and keynote
speaking.
Before moving to Houston, she worked as a sports reporter for Time Warner Cable
News, formerly YNN in Austin, covering a wide range of sporting events including
the Super Bowl, NBA Finals, World Series, and College Baseball World Series.
Prior to joining the Time Warner Cable sports crew, Julia was the weekend sports
anchor/reporter for KYTX-TV in Tyler, Texas. Julia began her television career
at KTEN-TV in Denison, Texas.
A native of Crandall, Texas, Morales spent two years as a “World Famous Kilgore
College Rangerette” before graduating from the University of Texas at Austin.
While at UT, Julia acquired her degree in broadcast journalism and was a member
of Texas Pom during the Longhorns’ 2005 National Championship season.
