Following her service as a Justice on the Texas Court of Appeals for the First District, appointed by Governor Rick Perry in 2011 and elected in 2012, Rebeca returned to Baker Botts as the Partner in Charge of the Houston office and continued her practice in the areas of commercial litigation and appeals. During her service on the bench, she authored over 400 reasoned majority opinions and adjudicated the merits of more than 1,000 appeals and original proceedings.
