Tiffany Cuellar Needham
Tiffany Cuellar Needham is the Executive Director of Teach For America (TFA) in Houston. TFA exists to eliminate educational inequity. To realize our vision, we find, develop, and support equity-oriented leaders who transform education and expand opportunities for children, starting in the classroom.
Tiffany’s commitment to ensuring every child has the opportunity to attain an excellent education began in 2003 when she graduated from the University of Texas at Austin and joined TFA as a 5th grade teacher in Houston ISD. After three years in the classroom Tiffany joined TFA staff and served in a number of leadership roles before becoming the TFA Houston ED in 2016.
Tiffany is the Financial Secretary for the McNair Junior High (Alvin ISD) PTO, is a Senior Fellow of the American Leadership Forum, and sits on the Board of Directors of Texas Executive Women. Tiffany was named a 2018 Woman in the Fast Lane of STEAM by the Greater Houston Women’s Chamber of Commerce and one of Houston Women’s Magazine’s 2020-2021 50 Most Influential Women.
Outside of work, Tiffany loves to spend her time with her husband Paul and her children Isabella (13), 8th grader at McNair Junior High, and Westley (11), a 6th grader at McNair Junior High.
