Gloria Zenteno

Gloria Zenteno is the heart and soul behind Barrio Dogs, a Houston-based nonprofit she founded to tackle pet neglect, abuse, and homelessness. A native of Houston's East End, Gloria's roots run deep in the Second Ward, where she was raised and where her grandparents settled after immigrating from Monterrey, Mexico. She and her husband, Javier, her grade-school sweetheart, share a passion for their community and the well-being of its animals, including their four rescue dogs: Max, Lizzie, Blanca, and Baby.
